With a duette, we can speak of absolute luxury and stylish window decoration. The honeycomb structure creates a unique gap, making them insulating and energy-saving.
We do not sell Duettes online. You must have seen and felt the structure, light transmission and softness! In addition, good advice regarding the various implementation options is an absolute must.
Benefits and ease of use
Duettes have many advantages: they are insulating, can be made in many different window shapes and are also particularly suitable for use in tilt/turn windows or skylights. Fabrics are available from transparent to blackout, and when using a Frame-Fit/EasyClick system, even perfect blackout can be achieved. Duettes are easy to operate manually or electrically via remote control or app. By hand, there is a choice of different operation options, with or without a cord. From the factory, Duettes are anti-static and dust-resistant, making them long-lasting.
Insulating and energy-saving
The honeycomb structure creates a stagnant layer of air between the two fabric sides. This layer of air acts as an insulation layer and keeps the temperature more or less constant. Thus, it keeps heat out in summer and prevents heat loss in winter. Energy savings can be as high as 25%, which in turn saves on heating costs!
Duette also ideal at your workplace
With its unique light-filtering properties, this window decoration perfectly meets European standards for light transmission. By playing with the position of the Duette, you will not have light on your monitor, but still have enough light in the room.
Top-Down Bottom-Up
Abbreviated TDBU, a term you will often hear with Duette. With this extra option, you can position the product halfway up the window, or only move it from bottom to top, or top to bottom. This is also a great option in the workplace.
Not surprisingly, most Duettes are sold in TDBU versions.
Transparent during the day - blackout at night (Day&Night)
If you choose the "Day and Night" option, the product will be made with two fabrics: one transparent fabric that you can use during the day to filter light and set the mood, and one thicker or even blackout fabric that prevents peeping-in at night and allows you to darken the room yourself.
TruFit / FrameFit (EasyClick): ideal for Tilt&Turn windows!
Tilt-and-turn windows are used in many homes and the question arises, "What about window decoration?"
If you opt for a duette, there are several options. With a FrameFit, the duette is mounted in a frame and this frame is placed on the tilt-and-turn window without drilling or screws. The advantage of this is that you won't see any mounting brackets anywhere, the frame - which is available in different colours - forms a whole with the window frame, and when using a blackout fabric, a much better blackout can be achieved.
If a frame is not possible, you can also opt for a TruFit model. The side profiles are then attached to the glass with a special tape. In the case of a wooden or plastic window frame with a wide glazing bar, you can even consider attaching it to the glazing bars.
Transparent Duette
With a transparent duette, you can control the light in your home beautifully and subtly. This creates a cosy atmosphere in your home or workplace. Stylish yet practical: cleaning is easy with just a soft brush. Not only insulating, but also good for acoustics. Thanks to the transparency, you maintain contact with the outside world.

Semi Transparent Duette - light no vision!
With a semi-transparent duette, you buy a gaze-proof, yet stylish window decoration. You retain light but prevent people from looking in. However, when closed, you can't look out either.
By choosing the Top Down Bottom Up option, you can set this duette so that an opening is created at the bottom or top, for example, so that you still maintain contact and visibility with the outside world.
Available in different pleat depths of 25, 32 and 64 mm. There is a wide choice of operation options and a duette is possible for many window shapes and sizes. In many cases, the 25 mm variant can also be used with a narrow glazing bar, whether or not in combination with a FrameFit or TruFit.

Blackout Duette
Beautiful, stylish window decoration that also darkens. With a duette, the cords are on the inside, between the two fabrics, so no annoying holes are visible like with pleated blinds. If you want absolute blackout, it is best to choose a FrameFit/EasyClick or a sealing side profile.

Dense in this case is really dense and dark. If you use this product in the bedroom, it is recommended to combine it with a nice matching inbetween curtain as a minimum. That way you can sleep dark at night and still move freely in the bedroom during the day, without feeling like it's still night.

Easyclick / FrameFit
Especially for mounting on a tilt-turn window, and especially on versions where screwing is not allowed - such as plastic or aluminium window frames - a duette can be installed with a frame. This is also called FrameFit or EasyClick.
Please note that this is only applicable to a duette with a pleat width of 25 mm.
In this solution, the duette is assembled in a frame, and this entire frame is placed on the window frame with magnetic tape. If you want to mop the windows or go for a big clean, the frame is easy to remove and reinstall.Mounting in this way has a number of advantages:
You have probably heard before that every advantage also has a disadvantage, and that also applies to this product - but actually to any product fitted to a tilt-and-turn window. As soon as you tilt or turn the window open, the product goes with it and stays put. However, by opening the window, especially if you expect blackout, light can still get in.
The frame profiles are available in several RAL standard colours. In addition, they can also be stove-enamelled in a desired RAL colour to match the window frames even better.
If, for whatever reason, a frame is not possible or not an option for you, we can always look at whether the product can be mounted on or between the glass slats. TruFit may be the right option here. Here, the side profiles are stuck to the glass with a special tape between the glass slats. The product then moves flush along the glass and is, as it were, trapped between the glass slats.
We do not sell FrameFit products online; you really have to see them! Together with our advisers, you will then come to the right decision.
